~5 Minute FOTD~ Antipodean Beauties Challenge

This weeks challenge is the 5 minute face which to me means quick (obviously) and simple. When I’m low on time, I try to spend what little time I’ve got on those things that matter the most. For me, that’s even skin, concealed dark circles and brows. I feel like focusing on these things makes me look put together even when I’m short on time.

1

Generally, a five minute face shouldn’t involve a lot of products and the more multi-tasking products you have, the better. My five minute face does involve more products than some but they’re products that are quick and fuss free to apply.

2

As I didn’t have time to mix foundations, I used the Make Up For Ever HD foundation (in #153) which I know is the right colour and finishes nicely. I used my usual under eye concealing routine which I talked about in my last post here. I finished up my skin by setting it with some MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark and some bright blush in the form of Smashbox Radiance Blush.

3

For the eyes, I applied Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in Taupe on the lid and then blended out the crease with MAC Cork eyeshadow. I also curled my lashes and put on some Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black. I then filled in my brows with MAC Brow Crayon in Stud.

4

I finished up the look by applying Burberry Lip Glow in Rosewood. This is such a lovely, easy to wear my lips but better shade. It feels great on the lips and isn’t sticky like some other glosses. The shades vary depending on the day, but I always end up using a gloss or sheer lipstick such as something from the Rouge Coco Shine range.

What’s your most important makeup product when you have 5 minutes?
