Kiss Goodbye to MS- Support the cause!

I’ve decided to take part in the ‘Kiss Goodbye to MS’ campaign being run by MS Australia. It’s an intitiative running for the month of May where people are encouraged to wear red lipstick, clothing or do some other thing in order to raise money for reasearch into a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. The intitiative will end on May 30th which is Worls MS day.
If you don’t know what MS is, here’s a description from the website:

WHAT IS MS?

MS is the most common neurological disease affecting young Australian adults. As yet there is no cure. Over 21,000 Australians have MS and most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 to 40. MS affects three times as many women as men.
MS is the result of damage to myelin – a protective sheath surrounding nerve fibres of the central nervous system. When myelin is damaged this interferes with messages between the brain and other parts of the body.
The symptoms of MS are different for each person. Sometimes they even vary within the same person.
For some people, MS is characterised by periods of relapse and remission while for others it has a progressive pattern. For everyone it makes life unpredictable.
I’ve decided to take part by wearing red lips every day for the month of May. To make sure that you all know that I’m not slacking, I’m going to be updating my FOTD wearing red lips on my blog for this whole month.
This is such a great cause and it’s nice to be able to do something that’s not superficial using makeup. I set up my profile today so it’s looking woefully empty at $0! If you can, I would love for you to support me by donating to my profile page by clicking the link below:
If you want to find out more about the cause or take part yourself,  please head to the Kiss Goodbye to MS site
You can also follow them on twitter @Kissgoodbyetoms
And here’s my first red lip of the month! I have a hearing today so I didn’t want to wear anything bright so I went for a demure red lip. I lined and filled my lips with Rimmel 1000 kisses lipliner in Coffee Bean and then applied NYX Black Label Lipstick in Raisin.
1 day down, 29 to go!

Hi C.M. I've been reading some of your posts on your blog and I just wanted to say that, while I can't imagine the emotions and daily struggle that come with being diagnosed with a neurological disorder, I really connected with your pain and what you have to say. I feel like anything else I say will sound empty so thank you so much for commenting xxBrittany: Thank you for your comment. MS seems like such a devastating disease especially because of the young age that it tends to start at. I'm sending my well wishes to your bf. Thanks for your support 🙂 xx

Becky: It's definitely a great cause! There's a lot of information about MS in Australia but it still needs more coverage world wide. Thanks for commenting 🙂

Leave a comment. I love hearing your thoughts. I do read and respond to all my comments but it won't always be immediate so please be patient. Rude or offensive comments will be deleted but constructive criticism is always welcome.
