Tiffany Hines Inspired Bright Blue look

This is another red carpet makeup look attempt. This look is one worn by Tiffany Hines who I’d actually never heard of before but apparently is in a show called Nikita. I really love blue eyeshadows and I especially love how this colour really pops against her hazel eyes so I thought I’d try and recreate it.

I didn’t have the exact shade of blue but I mixed MAC Atlantic Blue and Sugarpill Afterparty (you must get this colour!) to get a shade of blue I really liked. I also finally used my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Transforming Potion for the first time and mixed it with some MAC Reflects Gold glitter and applied it around my tear duct.

Here’s what I used :
MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot (beige) all over the eye from lid to brow bone
NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Electric Blue (bright sky blue) on the lid just up to the crease
MAC Atlantic Blue (primary blue ?) mixed with Sugarpill Afterparty (bright blue) on the lid and just above the crease as well as along the bottom lashline
MAC Contrast and Prussian Eyeshadows to darker outer V
MAC Tilt eyeshadow (light blue) to blend the crease
MAC Nylon eyeshadow around tear duct
MAC Reflects Gold glitter around the tear duct
Ardell Wispies false lashes on top lashline
Rimmel Exagerrate liquid liner on top lashline
Rimmel Denim Blue Soft Kohl pencil on water line
Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Mascara on top and bottom lashes

Pearl: Thanks 🙂 I think blue looks awesome on anyone! I checked out your blog and I really like it although now I'm really craving some baked cheesecake 😀

Well done – it's actually very close to the inspiration! I might've used a black kohl pencil on the waterline, based on the picture, but maybe that's just my Indian-ness – we never ever forget our kohl 😀

Ki: Thanks! I was thinking of using black but when I zoomed in it looked like she was wearing a really dark blue. Black would look lovely though!Lol coming from a similar culture I totally get what you mean about the kohl! I love the look of it but I always skip it on the waterline because I feel like I look too mean when I wear it 😀

That's a great inspired look. I have nylon and MAC reflects gold both hardly used- I should try that on the tear duct!btw your images are amazing what camera do you use?

That is so pretty. I really wish I had the guts to wear bright blue shadow! I like the look without the kohl. I tend to wear it on myself because I have puffy lower lids so it kinda makes them look less 'awkward?' haha You really get away without it though, lucky girl!

That's me and liner on my upper lashline – I look cruella de vil! 😀

PopBlush: Thanks! Btw I really love your new layout, it's so cute! Jen: Thank you 🙂 It's the first time I tried that combo and I really like it. I'm so in love with all the reflects glitters and I just want to buy them all :DI use a Nikon D5000 but I'm a total photography noob so I use it on auto far more than I'd care to admit… Lol it's a great camera though and awesome if you're making the leap from a point and shoot to a DSLR.Aseya: You can do it! I think the easiest way to start is by using a dark blue shade for smokey eyes and then building up the intensity slowly. Lol I've seen your pictures on your blog and I don't think I've ever noticed your lower lids being puffy or awkward looking :D. I get it though, we all have our little makeup techniques that we have to do or we feel a little weird. I have to have liner on my top lid because I feel like they're a bit droopy. Ki: Lol I highly doubt that! I've seen your pic on your blog and you look so sweet that I think it would be hard to make you look evil! 😉

one of these days I am going to try a blue eye, and I can honestly say it's probably going to look like this…so now I know what to have in stock to do it. Danke!

AnieJ: You should definitely try one out. If I haven't emphasised this enough, check out Sugarpill Afterparty because it's such a great shade 😀
