Collistar Inspired Blue and Purple Eyes

I was looking for inspiration today from the Spring/Summer trends and I came across this picture for Italian makeup brand, Collistar’s spring makeup collection. I instantly fell in love with it and the vibrancy of the colours and the mix of blue and purple which just look so lovely together.

I tried to recreate the look and this is as close as I could get. I tried adding the blue mascara like the model is wearing in the picture but it just wasn’t working for me so I decided to take the blue off and go with the classic black lashes.

I felt so much better once the black mascara was on and I think the look instantly went from being a more editorial look to one that could be worn every day. I would probably still tone this down a bit if I were to wear it out but it was definitely fun to do.

So what do you think? Would you ever wear such a bright look or do you think it’s a bit much for day to day?
