Northern Lights inspired eyes with Sugarpill Cosmetics

My last post was inspired by the colours of a sunset but today’s look is inspired by the colours that occur during a display of northern lights. The colours that can be seen are varied but I especially love the displays that consist of the intense pink, green and blue lights so I thought I’d use those colours in a look.

To get this look of course I had to turn to one of my Sugarpill quads and the one I used for this look is the Sweetheart quad. The colours are Dollipop (pink), Afterparty (blue), Midori (green) and Tako (white). These colours are all very pigmented just like the colours in the Burning Heart Quad.

Here’s the look I came up with:

To get the look I used:

MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre all over the lid up to the brow bone
Sugarpill Tako as a light wash of shadow all over the lid and up to the brow bone and then applied heavier around the inner corner
Sugarpill Midori applied to the first third of the lid
Sugarpill Afterparty applied to the middle third of the lid
Sugarpill Dollipop applied to the outer third of the lid
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in Zero applied to the waterline

Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara applied to lashes

I thought the look was missing something so I decided to try it with some liquid liner on the top lashline. I applied a dark brown liner from Savvy by DB.

I also added some Dollipop to the inner most part of the lid to see how it would look.

This was another fun look to do but it was definitely harder to do as the colours don’t naturally transition into each other the way the colours from the Burning Heart quad do. I don’t think I would actually wear this look out anywhere but I would definitely use the colours again but just not all at the same time. The colours are amazing but I especially love the pink and the blue and I think they would go together nicely with the Poison Plum purple shadow from the Burning Heart quad.

Thanks! I love that blue even though it's definitely brighter/lighter than anything I've ever worn. I'm really liking the Sugarpill quads even though I don't know how much use I'll really get out of them since they're so crazy bright!
